Job Position: Church Secretary
Job Description
The desired candidate shall provide essential administrative support, acting as the primary office manager, receptionist, and assistant to the pastor and staff. Key responsibilities include managing communications (phone/email), producing Sunday bulletins and newsletters, maintaining membership records and calendars, and assisting with church events. This position requires a very high degree of confidentiality and is foremost a ministry not just a job. This position serves as the first point of contact to the congregation and the general public and must be carried out in a Christ-like manner.
Designated office hours are:
Monday-Thursday: 9:00am-4:00pm
Fridays: 9:00am-1:00pm
Qualifications
1. Desired candidates shall depict a deep love for God and His word. A lifestyle that exhibits the fruit of a close walk with Christ.
2. Be proficient in Microsoft office Suite (Word, excel) and church database software.
3. Excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, discretion with confidential information, and a servant’s heart.
4. Must have a valid NC Driver’s License, be able to pass a pre-employment Drug and Background test.
